This June, we marked a huge milestone — 18 years of Darcey Quigley & Co. What started as a small, ambitious business has grown into one of the UK’s leading commercial debt recovery specialists. We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, but even more grateful to those who’ve been with us along the way — our clients, team, and partners. Thank you for being part of our journey. 

As our anniversary month comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on how it all began, how we celebrated this milestone, and what’s next for our business. 

2. Our Story: A Look Back 

Darcey Quigley & Co was founded in 2007 by our CEO Lynne Darcey Quigley and her husband Mark Quigley, with a clear mission: to get businesses paid. 

Back then, it was just Lynne and Mark with a big vision. Fast forward 18 years, and we’ve helped over 8,500 of businesses across the UK and beyond recover over £3 billion of what they’re rightfully owed — with professionalism, integrity, and speed at the core of everything we do. 

Along the way, we’ve expanded our team, embraced new technology, and stayed ahead of industry changes. But our values have remained the same — putting our clients first and delivering results that make a real difference to their businesses. 

One of the most memorable moments in our 18-year journey is one that truly resonates — especially with fellow female founders. 

In April 2012, just moments away from giving birth, our founder Lynne found herself juggling two major events: welcoming her daughter into the world and securing a crucial payment for one of our clients. 

While in hospital, Lynne was on the phone to a debtor in Mumbai chasing a payment date for a client owed over £1 million in outstanding energy invoices. As the medical team entered the room, Lynne asked them to give her just five more minutes. 

In that moment — fuelled by her commitment to her clients — Lynne successfully secured the payment date. Not long after, both her daughter and the client’s million-pound payment arrived. 

Two incredible deliveries in one day. A story that perfectly captures the spirit of Darcey Quigley & Co. 

3. How We Celebrated

We knew we couldn’t let this milestone pass quietly — so we made June a month to remember! Here’s how we marked the occasion:

🗨️ Thank You from Lynne – Lynne shared a personal message to thank everyone who’s supported the business, particularly the clients who’ve trusted us time and time again.
